EL PASO – State Representative Norma Chávez will formally announce her re-election campaign at her campaign kick-off and community graduation celebration on Sunday, September 13th at the El Paso Fire Fighters Hall, 3113 Forney Lane from 2PM – 6PM. The free public event will feature live music including Star Chacon, Cuarteto S’cala, and dance music plus BBQ, sausage, beverages and door prizes. The public is invited to attend. The campaign kick-off is dedicated to recognizing the achievements of recent non-traditional college graduates from area colleges including UTEP, University of Phoenix, and El Paso Community College. In addition information from area colleges will be distributed to those interested in resuming their higher education studies. “My campaign kick-off theme is ‘If I can do it, so can you’ because we are encouraging others that it is never to late to go back to college and get that degree,” said Rep. Chavez.
