  1. I like the endorsments that the Black El Paso Democrats made. Good council to lead us. Hey, I didn’t know Isela was running for school board. You go girl.

  2. Supporters of the choices given by the El Paso Black Democrats or any other endorsements should be careful not to resort to srtaight-ticket voting.

  3. Dear Reverend Davis,
This is a non-partisan election. There can be no straight ticket voting. Please don’t give the damn Republicans something else to cry about if their candidates all lose.

  4. Your choice of candidates are very good with the exception of that of mayor, this person only know how to try and sing, and play his guitar,he care more about telling us what a great job city department or doing, when we all know better, but he will not go to the community to see how the people feel about, the various everyday issue and if he does go nothing is never change. Why have a mayor just go strong city manger concept, she the one calling the shots

  7. Michael R. Wyatt,RE: Straight ticket.

    Please see comment by Rey.

Could you be the only one who misread my comment and jumped to the wrong onclusion I was enabling the Republicans?

Granted both candidates (Castro v. Robinson) are in the ranks of the Democrats but that is where the similarity ends.

Last November many voters were ‘advised’ to vote for the ‘straight ticket’ and this kind of mentality caused former criminal Judge Don Minton to lose to Manny Barraza who was recently indicted for conduct unbecoming a criminal judge.

Had the voters taken the time to learn something about each candidate, perhaps we would have been spared this embarrassment.
