Environment Department to Hold Public Hearing for American Eagle Brick Co. Air Quality Permit on April 7 in Sunland Park
WHAT: The New Mexico Environment Department will hold a public hearing regarding an air quality construction permit for American Eagle Brick Company’s brick manufacturing plant. The company submitted an air quality permit application to the department’s Air Quality Bureau for an 8.5 ton per hour brick manufacturing facility located at 1000 Brickland Road, approximately 2.2 miles southeast of Sunland Park City Hall in Dona Ana County. American Eagle, a Texas-based company, owns and operates the plant.
WHERE: Sunland Park Elementary School at 305 Alto Vista Drive in Sunland Park.
WHEN: The hearing will begin at 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 7
NMED will accept non-technical written public comments regarding the proposed facility on or before April 7. Such comments may be filed in advance with NMED’s Hearing Clerk or with the Hearing Officer at the hearing.
