NPT City: Catucci’s appeal to voters

Mayoral candidate Alfrank Catucci has a mailer going out. If you’re a regular voter, you might get one soon. Click below to view it. NPT received the mailer from Catucci, who had pulled up in front of Jaime Perez’s bar on Stanton and said he was asking Perez for advice on where to send them.

  1. put himself in with Jaime O. Perez. Loser. And if he’s anything like Jaime – he’ll be at least a two time loser.

  2. I would rather see this person, who has been arrested, deal with the legal issues at hand, and drop his run for mayor candidate – until he is proven not guilty by the court. Its embarrassing enough that he could be involved in corruption, but to bring it to the election before it even starts, is a waste of taxpayer time and money.

  3. If Catucci is on the Jamie Peres slate, for sure, he’s dead in the water.. Gus Haddad is the man of the moment…
Mayor Cook should have been traveling around the state promoting industry and tourism for El Paso, rather than traveling around with his stupid guitar
(which he can’t play OR SING)doing anti-death penalty far left wing protest stuff…

  4. Please check out Let us convince you why Carlos Rivera is the most qualified candidate for Mayor of El Paso.

  5. Carlos Rivera looks like a nice guy, but he’s a career government employee with absolutely no business or significant leadership experience.

  6. Someone needs to go read the qualifications and experience section of his web site or talk with the local veterans.

This is a man that is a Veterans Business consultant, former Director and a US Diplomat.

  7. I would rather see this person, who has been arrested, continue with his run as a candidate for mayor. It appears that his brush with corruption involves being targeted by the corrupt, or at least, by those forces wielding arbitrary and selective authority locally.
If one checks out ‘Jims Search’, the county records website, through the following link,, one will find that no open case information is available when typing in the names Al Cattuci or Alfrank Cattuci.
Noteworthy here is the caveat expressed on the county website. As follows: “As per policy set by the El Paso County Council of Judges, only records for OPEN criminal cases are available through this web site.”
Just what is the basis, then, for these charges, and are they genuine or ceremonial? Without revealing any evidence against the accused, the docket number would certainly be within the domain of public information. Is this a pending criminal case, or a pending political case?

  8. None of which qualifies him for an executive position as the level to which he aspires. Anyone can call themselves a consultant – it means nothing. As for being a diplomat, I repeat – a career spent entirely in government service living off of or spending other’s money is, perhaps, the worst preparation for running a government – local, state or federal.

  9. Not liking the candidate is one thing, it’s another to misrepresent his record.

Obviously, someone just cherry picked and ignored the pertinent details. Especially his being a Veteran Business consultant, ask those business owners if he’s done nothing.

  11. Line up people who have had dealings with Catucci. What you will have is an angry line of people.
